Note

After switching on TemplateMe! for a specific project, the default JIRA notifications stop working. When you return to JIRA's default notification scheme, TemplateMe! will be turned off automatically.


NOTE: The described behaviour will not affect to JIRA Service Desk's Customer Portal notifications, since JSD's the customer portals have got their own notification system TemplateMe! isn't fully compatible with this kind of projects.

Once you have created an Issue Type Notification Template

If everything was ok, you will see an screen like this:

Follow these steps to do this:

  1. Go to your project administration
  2. Select "Notification Scheme Templates" from the left menu
  3. You will see a screen like this

  4. Select an Issue Type Notification Template and a Notification Scheme

Tha's the end of this process, now you are able to use TemplateMe!

  1. from the dropdown lists.
  2. If you want to send the notifications using the project configured email then you can check the Use project configured email checkbox.
  3. Click "Save" to save your changes.

The Notification Scheme decides who will receive the notifications, whereas the Issue Type Notification Scheme determines what templates are used for each issue type when sending notifications.

Please be aware that you need a JIRA administrator account before you can perform the tasks mentioned on this page!
